PROFESSIONAL TRAINEE PROGRAM

Train with purpose.

Build your craft in an encouraging, uplifting environment as you prepare for professional work in the performing arts.

A bridge from training to the professional stage.

Our trainee program gives developing dancers focused education and a chance to work alongside the Reverent Rhythms professional company. Trainees have classes and performances of their own while learning from experienced staff and company artists.

Dance, performance, creative worship, and spiritual growth come together in a program designed to help artists use their gifts with skill and purpose.

What trainees study

Dance technique

Regular classes include modern and jazz, progressive ballet, and contemporary technique.

The whole artist

Creative worship arts, choreographic composition, anatomy, nutrition, strength and conditioning, and spiritual growth support the work dancers do on and off the stage.

Guest artists

Visiting artists may offer additional classes in cultural dance, musical theater, acrobatics, sports performance, and other specialties during the season.

Performance and professional growth

Learn by performing

Trainees present their own work and may perform with the professional company locally. Selected trainees may join the company on tour; touring is an opportunity, not a guaranteed part of every trainee’s season.

After a first year of training, some artists may be considered for an apprenticeship or company role. Teaching and choreography through the school may also be possible as opportunities arise.

Plan for a season in Grand Junction

The published 2026–2027 season runs August through June, with possible July touring. Classes and rehearsals usually meet four to five days a week at our Grand Junction studio. The schedule was designed to leave room for part-time work.

Trainees come from beyond Colorado as well as nearby communities. Ask the team about the current weekly schedule, housing, availability, and any touring plans before making arrangements.
